Privacy

Privacy policy

We run a price guide, not a mailing list: there is nothing to sign up for and nothing about you to sell. Last updated Nov 4, 2026.

Nothing to sign up for

Cheapest Starlink has no accounts, newsletter, forms or comment boxes, and it sets no cookies of its own. No page asks for a name, email, phone number or street address.

Calculator answers stay in your tab

The cheapest-path calculator does its math in your browser. Home or travel, your need, your state and one year or two are neither saved nor transmitted; closing the tab erases them. The state is used only to pick a dated local price note on the page.

The one thing that can leave the page: if you click the calculator’s result button, the click event below carries the result plan, a budget bucket and home or travel. The state is never included.

Three small storage values

Pages with the referral link may keep up to three tiny values in your browser so the pop-up and phone bar don’t repeat themselves. They live on your device only.

KeyWhereWhat it holds and why
sfl-offer-seenlocalStorage (kept until you clear site data)When the one-time pop-up appeared, or when you clicked a referral button, so this browser never sees the pop-up again.
sfl-ref-clickedsessionStorage (gone when the tab closes)“1” once you click a referral button, keeping the pop-up away for the rest of the visit.
sfl-sticky-offsessionStorage (gone when the tab closes)“1” once you dismiss the phone offer bar, keeping it closed for the visit.

With storage blocked, the pop-up just never opens. Your browser’s site-data settings can wipe all three at any time.

Analytics

The site is set up for Google Analytics 4, but it isn’t switched on yet. When it is, it works exactly as described here.

Why we count referral clicks at all is explained on how we make money.

Server logs

The hosting provider records the usual server logs (IP address, browser type, the page requested) to keep the site secure and running. We don’t match those logs with any other data.

Tap a referral button and starlink.com loads in a separate tab, our referral code tucked inside the link; nothing about you rides along. From then on, including your address and order, Starlink’s own privacy policy applies. The same goes for plain links to Starlink help pages, stores and news sites.

Who the site is for

The site is written for adults comparing internet plans. It isn’t aimed at children and collects nothing from anyone.

Updates to this policy

A change to this policy moves the date at the top and gets a line in the changelog. The terms of use cover the rest of how the site works.
