The cheapest plans

What is the cheapest Starlink plan?

For a home, Residential 100 Mbps: $49.50/mo on Starlink’s no-address US price list for Nov 4, 2026 (the Oct 29, 2026 list: $44 or $49.50). Only some areas get it; Residential Max ($143/mo on the same list) is sold everywhere. For travel, Roam 100GB is $55/mo in every state; all six plans, ranked.

What is the lowest monthly price for Starlink?

On Starlink’s US national list for Nov 4, 2026, the bottom rung was Residential 100 Mbps ($49.50/mo), then Roam 100GB ($55/mo); 200 Mbps was $76.50/mo, Roam 300GB $80/mo, Max $143/mo and Roam Unlimited $175/mo. Home prices vary by address and appear on starlink.com once you type yours; Roam prices are national. Every level seen, dated.

Is there a $49 Starlink plan?

Not as a fixed price. Residential 100 Mbps was $49.50/mo on the national list Starlink showed for Nov 4, 2026, and a $44 level appeared on Oct 29, 2026; the address decides which one you see, if the plan is offered there at all. The cheapest plan, dated.

Why is my Starlink price different from what I read online?

Home prices are now tied to the address: on Oct 29, 2026 the national list carried Residential Max at $104, $117, $143 or $156 a month. Starlink’s own advice for finding your price is to type your address on starlink.com and press “Order Now”. What changed, and when.

Did Starlink raise its prices?

Yes. Residential, Roam and Standby prices rose $5–$10 a month in May 2026 (existing customers from June 18), per 5Gstore. Notebookcheck reported that existing customers were emailed and that the new prices take effect on bills from Nov 30, 2026; the dated log has every change.

The cheapest hardware

What is the cheapest Starlink kit?

For travel, the Starlink Mini at $149 on starlink.com (Nov 4, 2026). For a home, rental activation runs $0, $99 or $199 by address, and a Standard or V5 kit costs $349 to buy. Every kit route, ranked.

Is it cheaper to rent or buy the Starlink kit?

On day one, a $0 rental activation beats $349 to buy. Two things can change that: a monthly rental fee, which would appear at checkout, and the return rule (rental hardware has to reach Starlink in good shape no more than 30 days after you cancel, or you pay the kit’s full retail price). The address usually decides which route you get. The 1-, 2- and 3-year math.

Can I get Starlink hardware for $0?

At some addresses: the rental activation can be $0, and the Starlink V5 rental shows a $349 list price that is adjusted down to $0 (Nov 4, 2026). Both are rentals you hand back, not kits you own. What “$0 hardware” really means.

What is the cheapest Starlink Mini plan?

Roam 100GB at $55/mo: Starlink aims it at occasional trips and camping, sized at roughly a week of typical use, with unlimited slow data afterward. With the $149 Mini kit, year one comes to $809 (our math). Cheapest Mini plan.

Can I send Starlink back if it isn’t for me?

Yes: a starlink.com purchase can be returned undamaged up to 30 days past the Payment Due Date, and the refund covers the first month’s fee as well. A kit from a retailer is returned to that retailer, under that store’s policy. Kit routes compared.

The $100 referral credit

What is the Starlink referral credit worth?

$100 in the US, as account credit unless you choose otherwise, which Starlink subtracts from the next invoice, once your service has run for two months, if you qualify. Where Starlink offers it, you can take cash instead. Where it lands in year one.

Does the referral credit lower my Starlink price?

No. The kit and the first bill are paid in full, the credit comes on a later invoice, and we read Starlink’s credit rules as covering monthly service charges only, not one-time fees. Roam 100GB with a Mini is $809 for year one, or $709 if the credit posts (our math, Nov 4, 2026 prices). Year one, plan by plan.

Who qualifies for the Starlink referral credit?

First-time customers only: you’ve never held a Starlink subscription, now or in the past. The dish has to serve a US address (a state or DC), the plan, Roam or Residential, is ordered on starlink.com and never at a store, and service runs paid for two full billing cycles in a row. The full conditions.

Can I add a Starlink referral after I order?

No. Starlink says an order placed without the link, through a different person’s link, or at a retail store never shows the referral, and Starlink won’t attach it afterward. Only open the link once you’ve picked a plan, stay in the tab it opens, and check that the order page reads “Referral Code Applied” before paying.

Discounts and stores

Is there a Starlink discount in the US right now?

Not nationally. Starlink’s no-address US price list showed no promotional price on Nov 4, 2026, and checkout has nowhere to type a code. Starlink’s help center says location and account type can change which Residential plans, prices and promotions a household sees, so an individual address can still see an area offer on its order page. Also, Starlink’s Special Offers and US order lists showed us no military, veteran, student or senior pricing.

Does Starlink’s 50% off offer apply in the US?

No. The “50% off … Offer ends November 28” banner in starlink.com’s holiday code is set to appear only in Japan and South Korea, and no half-price item sits on the US order lists (checked Nov 3, 2026).

Is it cheaper to buy Starlink at Best Buy, Walmart or Amazon?

Compare first-year totals, not kit prices. Starlink’s retailer page names 16 US chains that stock its kits, Walmart and Amazon among them, and a kit from any of them earns no referral reward. On starlink.com, a $149 Mini plus 12 months of Roam 100GB is $809 for year one, or $709 if the referral credit posts (it pays Roam bills, not the kit). A store Mini on the same plan is its shelf price plus $660 of Roam, with no credit (our math, Nov 4, 2026 prices).

What these answers leave out

Home prices follow the address, and Starlink says its prices, availability and surcharges can move with network capacity and local demand, so any level here can move. The referral credit is not a promise: Starlink decides who qualifies and hasn’t said whether a rented kit counts. Taxes, any monthly rental fee and any demand surcharge at your address sit on top of every number above.

Skip the order for now if…

  • you haven’t chosen a plan: starlink.com’s code, as we read it, holds the referral in that one tab, so price your path first and click through only when ready
  • you have, or once had, a Starlink account: the credit is for first-time customers only
  • you need a month or one trip of service and then plan to cancel: the referral terms are written for customers who stay
  • the kit will come from a store: a store purchase can’t earn the credit, then or later
