Below list price?

Can you get Starlink for less than the list price?

Not across the country. Starlink’s no-address price list for Nov 4, 2026 held no promotional price, and checkout has nowhere to type a code. Per Starlink’s help center, location and account type can change which Residential plans, prices and promotions a household sees, so one address may still see an area offer on its own order page. The one extra every first-time customer can earn is a $100 referral credit, and it comes later.

  • The amount: $100 from Starlink, as account credit unless you choose otherwise, which Starlink subtracts from the next invoice.
  • The timing: once your service has run for two months. The kit and the first bill are paid in full.
  • The conditions: you’ve never held a Starlink subscription, now or in the past; the dish serves a US address (a state or DC); the plan, Roam or Residential, is ordered on starlink.com.
  • The catch: an order placed without the link, through a different person’s link, or at a retail store never shows the referral, and Starlink won’t attach it afterward.

  1. Step 1Click the referral link

starlink.com opens in its own tab with the code already inside the link. Checkout has nowhere to type one.

  2. Step 2Type your address

Only then does Starlink show the plans, the price and the kit route (rental or purchase) for that address.

  3. Step 3Check out in that tab

Choose a Roam or Residential plan and confirm the page reads “Referral Code Applied”. Month one and the kit are charged at the normal price.

  4. Step 4$100 once two months are paid

Keep service through two complete billing cycles. Starlink then posts the credit to your account (or pays cash, where it offers that).

Skip the order for now if…

  • a fiber or cable line already reaches you and covers what you need: where a wire runs, Starlink is seldom the cheap choice
  • you only want a month or a single trip of service before cancelling: the referral terms are written for people who stay
  • you have, or once had, a Starlink account: only first-time customers can get the referral credit
  • your kit will come from a store shelf: a store purchase rules out the referral credit, now and later

Where cheap Starlink ends up

Is a $0 rental the same service as a $349 kit?

The kit route changes who owns the dish and what you pay on day one. It doesn’t change the plan, the speed tier or the bill that follows.

Cheapest-Starlink questions, with dates

What is the cheapest Starlink plan right now?

For a home, Residential 100 Mbps: $49.50 a month on the no-address list starlink.com loaded on Nov 4, 2026 (Oct 29 showed a $44 level too). Only some areas get it, and the address decides the price. For travel, Roam 100GB is $55 a month anywhere in the US. All six plans, ranked.

Can I get the Starlink kit for $0?

At some addresses. The rental activation can be $0, and the Starlink V5 rental carries a $349 list price adjusted to $0. Either way the dish stays Starlink’s: it goes back within 30 days of cancelling, and any monthly rental fee appears at checkout. The real $0 hardware routes.

Is there a cheaper Starlink price or offer in the US right now?

Not nationwide. The price list starlink.com loaded with no address on Nov 4, 2026 held no promotional price. Separately, a first-time customer who orders through a referral link gets $100 of account credit after two paid months.

Does the $100 referral credit lower my first bill?

No. Month one and the kit cost the normal amount. If you qualify, Starlink posts the $100 to your account after two months of service and it comes off a later monthly bill. Where it lands in year one.

Is renting or buying the Starlink kit cheaper?

Up front, a $0 rental activation beats $349 to buy. A monthly rental fee would erode that over time, which is why we chart it month by month. Usually the address decides which you’re offered. The 1-, 2- and 3-year math.
