Starlink price drops and rises: when each plan got cheaper
For a budget buyer the question is simple: did it get cheaper? Some plans did, some didn’t. This is the 2026 log, latest first, from Starlink’s own order data and named press reports.
The cheapest home plan got cheaper on Oct 29–30, 2026, when Residential prices became address-based. On the national list, Residential 100 Mbps was $55 a month on Oct 21–25 and $49.50 on Nov 4, 2026; Max was $130, now $143.
Notebookcheck reported that existing customers’ bills change from Nov 30, 2026. The Mini kit was $249, now $149 (since Oct 2). Roam prices are national: $55, $80 and $175 a month on Nov 4, 2026.

- Our re-read
No-address price lists re-read: nothing moved
The three home levels held where they were on Nov 3 and Oct 30: $49.50 for 100 Mbps, $76.50 for 200 Mbps, $143 for Max. Roam showed $55 (100GB), $80 (300GB) and $175 (Unlimited). No promo end date on those lists was filled in, except the standing $0 adjustment on the V5 rental.

Residential prices start to depend on the address
On Oct 29, 2026, Starlink’s national list carried several levels per plan: $44 or $49.50 for 100 Mbps, $68 or $76.50 for 200 Mbps and $104, $117, $143 or $156 for Max. RV Mobile Internet reported Starlink testing address-based Residential prices up to about 20% above or below the base price, with reviews about every three months. 5Gstore found Marysville, Kansas: $44 / $68 / $104 for Residential 100 / 200 / Max, and Kansas City, Missouri: $49.50 / $76.50 / $117; Rolla, Missouri: Max at $156. Kits changed too. The offer at your address decides whether a home kit is rented or sold to you: each Residential entry on the national list was a rental on Oct 21, 25, 30 and Nov 3–4, 2026, while 8 of 11 had purchase tags on Oct 29.

Demand surcharges cut in some areas (reported)
RV Mobile Internet reported demand surcharges cut in some areas on Oct 30, 2026: Seattle $500, Enumclaw (WA) $250, Alaska $500, down from up to $1,000–$1,500 earlier in 2026. Starlink’s invoice glossary puts the ceiling on that surcharge near $1,500 per home service line.

One price per home plan
Starlink’s national list showed a single price per plan on Oct 21 and again on Oct 25: Residential 100 Mbps $55, 200 Mbps $85 and Max $130 a month.

Did Starlink get cheaper or more expensive in late 2026?
Both. Between the Oct 21–25 and Nov 4, 2026 national lists, the two cheapest home plans dropped and Max rose, so a budget household on 100 or 200 Mbps saw a lower list price, while Max subscribers saw a higher one. Roam stayed national. Your own address can still land above or below these levels:
- Residential 100 Mbps: $55 on Oct 21–25, $49.50 on Nov 4, 2026.
- Residential 200 Mbps: $85 on Oct 21–25, $76.50 on Nov 4, 2026.
- Residential Max: $130 on Oct 21–25, $143 on Nov 4, 2026.
But the national list is not your price. Some addresses saw lower levels and some higher: Notebookcheck’s range runs $44 to $156 a month. Starlink says its prices, availability and surcharges can move with network capacity and local demand. For the price at your address today, type it on starlink.com. For every level side by side, see the lowest monthly price page; for all six plans ranked, see the cheapest plan.
Will Starlink’s price drop again?
Nobody outside Starlink knows. What the record supports:
- The press says prices get reviewed. RV Mobile Internet reported that the new address-based prices are reviewed about every three months.
- Our arithmetic, not an announcement: three months after the Nov 30, 2026 billing date Notebookcheck reported is the end of February 2027. So the next review could land around late February 2027. Starlink hasn’t announced any date, and a review can move prices either way.
- No nationwide promotion either: on Nov 4, 2026 every promo end date on Starlink’s no-address price lists was blank, apart from the long-standing $0 adjustment on the V5 rental kit. And the “50% off … Offer ends November 28” banner in starlink.com’s holiday code is set to appear only in Japan and South Korea, and no half-price item sits on the US order lists.
How we keep this log
We re-read Starlink’s US order lists before every price update and add a dated entry here and on our changelog. Press reports stay labeled as press. A different price at your address is expected; a real mistake gets fixed and logged on the corrections page.
